His recordings for Delphian Records receive widespread praise and have been featured in International Record Review, Gramophone, and the BBC Music Magazine. James performs regularly as a collaborative pianist with the Hebrides Ensemble, with recent and future concerts including appearances at the Edinburgh International Festival, Spitalfields Festival, Lammermuir Festival, and Perth Concert Hall.
