Heralded for performances of “spectacular musicianship and technical brilliance” (The Scotsman), “evangelising urgency” (International Record Review) and “freshness and lucidity” (The Herald Scotland), James Willshire has performed at the BBC Proms and live on BBC Radio 3. His recordings for Delphian Records receive widespread praise and have been featured in International Record Review, Gramophone, and the BBC Music Magazine. James performs regularly as a collaborative pianist with the Hebrides Ensemble, with recent and future concerts including appearances at the Edinburgh International Festival, Spitalfields Festival, Lammermuir Festival, and Perth Concert Hall.
