Christmas with the Carice Singers
"beauty of tone and musicality that few can match" Gramophone Magazine
Concert starts at 7.30pm. St James' Church, Chipping Campden
The Carice Singers, named after Elgar's daughter, is a 16 voice vocal ensemble directed by George Parris. Described as possessing a "beauty of tone" and "musicality" that "few can match" (Gramophone Magazine), they have quickly developed a reputation for being one of this country's finest chamber choirs. Since its founding in 2011, the ensemble has performed at many festivals and venues throughout the British Isles and in Germany (including Cheltenham Music Festival and the Oxford Lieder Festival), in addition to making recordings for Naxos and the BBC Music Magazine.
Thank you, Committee and team of the Campden Music Society. I have been a member now for 30 years, have hardly ever missed a concert and have so much enjoyed having marvellous music on my doorstep. It is so nice too not having to choose, yet be surprised and educated each concert with a wonderful variety.

Wonderful and talented performers, great variety and excellent value.
